Wing House Residence in Charlottesville, completed 2018 This home utilizes custom designed and manufactured GluLam beams with a 24' span to form an asymmetrical roof form, with this same curve repeated throughout, rotated and mirrored. Inside, salvaged wood from a large white oak downed on the property is used to form a 3 story barrel-curved stairwell accent wall, dining wall panel and large barn door. The oak is also used as slab treads on a custom steel staircase. Bluestone pavers, stucco exterior, with copper roof and precast concrete foundation, set up to receive a PV array.
