Paint ! studio – completed in ‘08, built of SIPS (structural insulated panels) over round concrete piers and steel girders.  A simple 448 square foot, one room volume controls south light thru clerestory and opens to north light and views through a forest.  Round openings to the east give a portal to arriving students, an elliptical morning sunbeam, and view thru the parapet to trees beyond, while allowing space for 8’x10’ canvasses.  Walnut lumber passed to the painter from her father are used as interior accents and window sills.
